The Studio
Where material becomes the starting point.
The process begins by observing what has already happened to a material — its cracks, folds, erosion, resistance and weight. Rather than correcting those conditions, the studio works with them, allowing each material to suggest its next state.
Sculptural Light / Process
From weathered wood to light.
The transformation begins before the material reaches the studio. Nature has already bent, cracked, eroded and marked the wood. The studio does not erase that history. It works in response to it — revealing the form, finding a new balance, and building structure around what already exists.
Wearable Art / Process
From pressure to wearable form.
In the wearable work, transformation happens at the scale of the body. Paper is compressed, folded and displaced until a new sculptural balance appears. The traces of pressure are not hidden; they become the surface, structure and identity of the piece.
Large in presence. Light on the body.
Paper allows the work to hold a bold sculptural scale without carrying the weight usually associated with objects of this size.
Wood remembers weather.
Paper remembers pressure.
Each material carries its history into the final form.
