Mineral Silence is shaped from painted handmade paper that has been compressed, folded and displaced by hand. The irregular surface is not corrected after formation; its folds and shifts remain visible, becoming part of the identity of the piece.

The two forms do not need to be identical to find balance together.

MATERIAL + SCALE

Large in presence. Light on the body.

Paper allows Mineral Silence to hold a strong sculptural scale without the weight normally associated with an object of this visual presence. The result is a piece that reads as sculpture while remaining comfortable to wear.
