THE OBJECT
A form gathered around its own movement.
Whirlwood follows the twist of reclaimed driftwood and builds a translucent paper volume around it. The result is compact but directional, with the structure remaining visible through the illuminated surface.

The Studio traces how existing material is observed and rebalanced before paper and illumination are introduced.

Weathered wood establishes the starting condition. Structure, handmade paper and light respond to its bends, fractures, weight and history without erasing what the material has carried.
Care
Designed for indoor use. Keep dry and away from prolonged direct sunlight, excess heat and humidity. Dust gently with a clean, soft, dry cloth.
Studio note
Made by hand in Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. Natural variation in reclaimed wood makes every work unique.
